Michael has been in the Ohio banking industry for 40 years, being a tireless advocate for community banking. Most notably he started a new bank in 1988, raising all capital and overseeing all lending and operations. From 2002-2017 he profitably grew a community bank from $93 million to $425 million in asset size.
He has created and operated several retail businesses and produced strategic, marketing, and organizational plans for many other entities.
Michael Steen has served on over 30 community organizations in his career in various leadership positions and has taught at national professional schools.
He has received numerous professional awards from his industry and from organizations in the communities in which he has served. He was most recently appointed to the Executive Order of the Ohio Commodore, for his significant contributions to economic development.
